Once again a Sepultura album superior to everything done by Soulfly and the Cavalera Conspiracy crap.

Well I mean old Seputlura is light years ahead of Soulfly, agreed but Dark Ages, Enslaved and even Archangel imo (excluding that embarrassing metal rules song) are better than current Sepultura.

Hopefully this changes my mind, I'm excited that people are digging this.

Yeah I pretend "We Sold Our Souls to Metal" isn't on Archangel. Makes it a much better album.

I liked The Mediator quite a bit (in fact its way better that the recent Soulfly records), so I'm casually optimistic with this one as well.

Yeah I reviewed the Soulfly album last year and while I was positive overall I doplomatically panned WSOSTM: https://www.rocksins.com/reviews/soulfly-archangel-album-review-25364/

I *might* do this album. I've got an album review by this awesome unsigned alt-metal band called Kitsune Art from Madrid pending for Monday and just published an overdue live review of Korn and Limp Bizkit, so it'll have to wait. Also need to do Once Human's new album (out Feb 10 but I have it already) and possibly Band-Maid if I feel like it.

Glad Max took my advice to take a year off from recording though. Wonder if he'll have anything lined up for 2017.

Oh I've already written the Kitsune Art review, we just don't post late on Fridays or on weekends. So that's one off the list. Band-Maid isn't one I have to do but because I have a press copy, Once Human definitely needs to be done in the next 4 weeks.

Good to hear some positive feedback. I've never paid much attention to post Roots Sepultura. This one I will definitely give a go.

I'll be seeing them for the first time in a month with Kreator, Aborted and Soilwork, can't wait! Hopefully Kreator's upcoming will be good too.

Kreator's new album will rule because it's Kreator.

They were my first mosh pit when I saw them with Vader back in 2003/4. Good fucking times.
