i mean thrash isnt my favourite either but generally speaking the poster boys for anything arent rly the best bands. exodus demolishes anything by the big 4
i mean yeah its not like anyones forcing u to like osdm or anything else theres just no point in calling yourself a metalhead or saying u like metal when u cant get into the 4 main pillars much. cc again is about the worst dm band that exists as well

@Smok: Tbh what kills Exodus for me is the vocals. Baloff was fine, Zetro has always been annoying, and imo Dukes had my favorite tone of any vocalist in that band. A lot of other bands in that style like Overkill, etc. fine instrumentals but WTF vocals. Granted I can't speak much considering I mega dig Kaonashi including the vocals but yeah
The closest I've gotten for the "four pillars" is trad-doom and the side of black metal that doesn't have "recorded in a bathroom stall with one bad microphone" production quality.

my main prob with thrash is the vox as well tbh, usually get sthg between clear speaking, a whiny shout, and sometimes but not often enough a roar that actually fits the music

I did a whole discog run of them a while back and they kinda peaked around where this album sits for me
I don't HATE them but Bruce's voice never quite sat right with me. I think my favorite albums were actually the Di'Anno era and I liked the Bayley era a lot more than most fans. If it wasnt for their recent album they'd have a WHOLE discog within 0.5 stars of itself for me.
