If I spent five paragraphs explaining why everything about this is so perfect it would be dismissed as being fanboyish

"Leave him alone. He likes Linkin Park, then let him do it. I'm sick of this crap where we terrorize other users for the music they enjoy."
welcome to the site!

"If I spent five paragraphs explaining why everything about this is so perfect it would be dismissed as being fanboyish"
Then be constructive
|
| |
yeah i mean this review reads like a fucking press release
|
| |
The review isn't really bad he just doesn't justify the 5 at all.
|
| |
it's not poorly written at all, but the tone is way off. you have to at least try to be objective in any sort of critical writing.

First it's a press release and then it's not objective?
|
| |
press releases aren't objective which is the point of press releases, so there's no contradiction there--I think that description was just meant to drive home the "not objective" critique.

I get you
I guess it's hard for me to balance being objective and trying to explain why I think the album is essentially Jesus, "justifying my 5"

I've 5'd some questionable things in my years here, but damn you just went for it.

What I've come to learn on this site is that "good taste" isn't so much the "quality" of the music you rate but more of the diversity of your ratings, if you get what I'm getting at
|

you can combine most of these paragraphs together to create a few larger ones instead of several ones with just a few sentences, just because you start a new point doesn't mean you need to start a new paragraph, try to transition some throughout the paragraphs
like the last three paragraphs can easily be combined, as well as the previous two before those, etc

Here's an idea: don't click on a review for a band you aren't interested in and then comment on it.
