I would consider 36 Chambers to be a moderate level challenge for a hip hop beginner, while an obtuse and dense album like Cannibal Ox's The Cold Vein has a high level of difficulty.
When AngryLittleAlchemist is done with his million recommendations, he should try MF DOOM's 'MM... FOOD' or Madvillainy. Easy-level and dope as fucking hell.
