So far I've heard:

Hardwired

Atlas Rise

Now That We're Dead

Moth Into Flame

Dream No More

Spit Out The Bone

And I don't know what people mean by inaudible bass. I mean I can hear it fine. So far the only song I don't like is Atlas Rise and Hardwired is just okay.

Nice review Willie, but unfortunately I don't share your enthusiasm.

This band is shadow of its former self.

honestly - I can't believe that Kirk didn't contribute to this album apart of the solos. Just don't believe it.

Other than that it is a pure Metallica. There are pieces of almost every of their 1st 5 albums albums scattered in different places of the whole length.

Top notch production!

Oh, and @ FrankG:

Hammett did a lot of songwriting which he recorded on his iPhone, which ended up being either misplaced, lost or stolen. And he claims to have relied on that device pretty exclusively at the time. Hence the lack of contributions.

"honestly - I can't believe that Kirk didn't contribute to this album apart of the solos. Just don't believe it."

This is the case with most Metallica albums aside from some tracks here and there. Only two where he contributed on every song were St. Anger and Death Magnetic

only notable contribution of his I've heard of is the riff in enter sandman, and it's not like it hasn't been done before
