Listen to the 2013 version of Datastream and then go listen to Gunship instead.

"if you think thats tryhard, theres a song on this album featuring Circle of Dust, which is a one man band led by Klayton. He features himself on a track on an album (again)."
The man is a real life Agent Smith

This had some jams.

First track is what the rest of the album should have been about. Robotic incestous sex. That's what the cover screamed at me! But then, the rest happened.

The Shout cover would sound much better at a slower tempo like the original but otherwise it ain't bad. Glad it was all kept analog and old school sounding.

"No, you bloody moron, it's all about one's capacity to perceive, feel, and most importantly hear what sounds in place"

What's really bad is that the remix album is FAR better than the actual Scandroid album.
That's just sad, when other peoples remixes completely eclipse your own material.
|

the remix of neo tokyo is the best thing ive heard associated with scandroid, and dwtd are the hard carry there
very disappointing, i love synthwave and dig a fair bit of klayton's projects
but this just isnt up to snuff

On paper, I should have liked it. But you are right, it is just so damn boring. The song writing just is not here.

It's alright, the singles drag this out of the mid abyss.
