I thought it was pretty good first listen through. With new Meshuggah and C.B. Murdoc, I can say for the first time in a very long time I am quite content with the prog releases I've given the time of day this year. Though C.B. Murdoc > Meshuggah > this regarding albums from this year.

Maybe it was timing for me, but this album kicked my ass so hard it was one of the big reasons I'm binging on metal again after being totally absorbed in heavy bass music for like a year.

Album has some cool moments, but the Meshuggah influence overstays its welcome.
