"this seems too underdeveloped to me for it to be a 5 but the exploration and experimentation is pretty fascinating"

Hmmm.. If anything this seems to be his best paced and thought-out album, without going into the overly polished territory of the s/t, but also not occasionally falling through like For Emma (because of how a bit too homogenous it was)

important doesn't mean groundbreaking

everyone knows this album's just a ripoff of several species of small furry animals gathered together in a cave and grooving with a pict

No but seriously ya'll this is fucking dope shit right here

Would rather some electronic experimentalism than the third straight "heartbreaks and fireplaces" album

@ABond i meant underdeveloped as in he has a lot of cool ideas on here but not all of them are fully fleshed out. some songs seem like an experimentation in sound instead of a confident, definitive sound which is fine but leaves some things to be desired imo

"Groundbreaking" and "most important AOTY" are not synonymous

this really isn't even that experimental other than the fact that it's a folk artist making electronic music. but as electronic music, even with limited exposure, i've heard almost everything here before
