Sowing, I'm not all that familiar with the roots, but I think they're similar in de la's jazzier, east coast moments. This is more genre hopping than anything.

I'm not sure what to think of Lord Intended anymore-, the more I listen to it, the more I both hate it and love it. Like I love how ballsy the whole thing is, but sometimes it bugs me.

I also dropped my rating. It's grown off me a bit. Still awesome tho, and will probably make my top 20 list from this year

"Best hip hop release OTY"

Wel that's not hard seeing as the only major hip hop releases this has to compete with are pablo and views and neither of those are very good

I don't view this as a great rap album but somehow it keeps me coming back for more.

Still a great album but yeah not pure rap, more like collaborative art-music.

Well yeah. Rap is all about flow and lyrical prowess, and at its core it's just one of many facets of hip hop. Hip-hop encompasses musical and artistic expression in all forms, from rap, to DJing, to B-Boying, to graffiti art. From my understanding, this album is hip hop because it was created in the spirit of musical collaboration and experimentation, which is another core facet of hip hop. Where's lambs to back me up?
