isnt that insane youtube drummer in this band now

Slightly disappointed, yet 4/5? You must really love this guy.
If you mean Troy Wright, then yeah. He has done a lot of work during Plini's tours.

With his potential this could've been a 4.5

Yeah I'm a big Plini fan. The last two albums sort of became more drawn out. It seemed like with his previous stuff each song almost had a life of it's own. Idk how to explain it really. Songs like Ko Ki, which had a consistent theme from beginning to end. Electric Sunrise does this well and I'm still getting used ot the rest of the album.

This is a lot less experimental than his previous works, and I would kill for another acoustic-only track. I do like how much more focused this is though on the whole than prior releases.

somehow even better than his Trilogy.

This is really relaxing and entertaining to listen to.

His style doesn't translate well to a seven minute song?! Paper Moon, my favorite Plini song is at 8:08! We should just be getting started at 7 minutes my man!

This did not disappoint.

While I do think Paper Moon is a great song, I personally find my favourite tracks from him are all between 3 and 5 minutes. That might just be me, though.

Paper Moon is the jam. Haven't heard this yet but I dug the three EPs. Maybe i'll like this? I heard a single off of it and it didn't do much for me, but maybe as a whole it's better.

He should invest his undeniable talent into more interesting music. This is pretty average, pleasant enough as background music "Every Piece Matters" is very, very good, but it's overall barely a 3 tbh.

t/t, Inhale and Cascade for me are the best parts off this. The occasional high-pitched triplet bursts in the latter are very fitting, somehow reminding me of the sweet artwork for this.

If you like Every Piece Matters I would say his first 2 EPs should prove more interesting than the rest of his stuff. I find his metal material more boring than his poppier/shreddier/jazzier stuff so this was somewhat boring for me although still a perfectly pleasant listen.

Yeah butcher has it spot on
The poppy atmospheric shred stuff is what sets him apart from the djent crowd and really is what makes him unique and interesting. Dude should be channelling Satch over Sikth. Still think there's enough of that on this album though

Not getting much 'djent' from this. Not even the odd-times/syncopation. This is more tasteful and doesn't rely on low string chugging.

It's more tasteful than djent but sadly the way the riffs are constructed doesn't really click with me.
It's like he got rid of the junz and kept the dweedle dees.

I've only heard this one (primarily checked because of Vai's comments and the artwork) so what do I know. It's solid instrumental metal though. He could perhaps had expanded a bit more on the clean jazzy fusion passages as in Inhale.
