I think the only songs not worthy of a 5/5 on this album are "Mojo Pin", "Lilac Wine", and "Corpus Christi Carol".

that scream towards the end of Mojo Pin gives me chills. Corpus Christi Carol is my least favorite song on here.

This is so close to a 5/5 for me, but yet so far. Mostly because the songs start sounding a bit too similar, the album doesn't really have a flow. When Hallelujah's passed I always feel like changing the record. Not that the three last tracks are bad, Dream Brother especially is brilliant, but for some reason I hardly manage to pass through all 10 songs when I pick this up.This Message Edited On 11.30.08

dream brother, eternal life, and lover you should have come over are worth sticking around for. i used to get that same feeling though. i would always stop after so real and usually skip mojo pin and then all the songs (except CCC) started growing on me.

when i listen to this it makes me wonder why this ever needed to grow on me.

it really bothers me that he died and never made more music. it's kind of fucked up but it's the truth.

This is one of those albums that makes you mad as a musician, because you're never going to be that good...

Jeff sounds like a woman in Corpus Christi. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, I actually think it's incredible and love the song.

Overall great album. Sweet review too

I was reading about his death a couple of weeks back. So sad. So sudden. So simple.

And of course after he dies, there has to be 20 other releases of b-sides/live clips/remasters that are all you can find anywhere instead of his only album.

Good enough to make an album where the only great song is a cover? ok.
