It really is, I was a little over-excited when I initially got it and rated it a 5 when it's more in the 4/4.5 range. People are still missing out on this album

It's the second/third time I'm listening to this, and it's definitely a good album. Probably a 3,5.
Hoe does their other stuff compare? This Message Edited On 01.14.07

murder by death are an amazing band. i cant get enough of Shiola. "Who Will Survive...." is a little bit better than this. if you like "In Bocca.." than youll like their first two

I thought they were some horrible hardcore pop band until I heard their cover of, "We Only Come Out at Night" which is truely an amazing cover.
didn't see that coming from a cd filled with bad bad hardcore covers

That's why these guys will never catch on. They're capable of becoming mainstream, but they're always opening for emo or hardcore bands. Everyone at the shows are waiting form them to get off stage to they can slam-dance.

I was really into this for a while, then it just fell out with me. I need to give it another try.

this is slightly disappointing considering the release before

See, that's depressing... Kids nowadays can't seem to see good music when it bitch-slaps them in the face multiple times. Trendy little pricks. MBD deserves to go mainstream. They're so damn talented.
Also, I bought this a few days ago and it's beastly. I love it.

I love how deceiving their name is and how well it fits once you really get familiar with their catalogue. I listen to this shit and Red of Tooth and Claw all summer, every summer.

I think this is there best... Nothing short of spectacular, they found a new direction, and went with it hard. Followed it since, but nothing has compared to the amazing post-rock meets johnny cash found in this record.

Frustrating mixed bag. Super fucking good highs alongside too much meh. I still like it a lot overall though cuz this band scratches a very specific musical itch that I can't really find elsewhere.
