This exceeded my high expectations.

cursory listen seems like there's quite a bit of melodic stuff on here that they haven't experimented too much with, which is cool.
gonna have to give it a few more spins over the next couple of weeks.

Don't know if this band will ever top Chaos Of Forms for me personally. I know a lot of people like their later work more but that album is just so much fun, I love the leads and it's so damn catchy.

I'd at least spin a couple tracks just to see if you dig. Band is solid af so if you like this chances are you'll like the rest of their albums.

Their self-titled is the best summation of the band on the whole. Not my favourite record from 'em, but typically the one I recommend to new listeners. This album covers a lot of the sound found in Deathless and the self-titled, so you can't go wrong starting here either.

The solo on Harlot is one of my all-time faves. Davidson needs to drop some more strange, funk-influenced solos in the future.

I don't think we will get another album like Chaos tho, seems like they are going in a different direction these days and it appears to be working for them.



I remember watching an interview where he pretty much talked about dropping some of the wank (which imo was done quite tastefully and fun) and the were not focusing on showing people what they could do but trying to write more focused cohesive songs.

I've wondered about these guys but stayed away due to modern stigma, but im curious now
