Honestly I get what you mean, but for me they just do it so well that it cancels that out.

New song is fucking incredible and sounds fucking incredible period

Took a second to grow on me but I'm already liking it more than Blood Eagle, it's poppy as hell and it's glorious, I especially love the section where it's just minimalist guitar and nothing else, also the mix is just on whole a other level, the climax the final minute or so had my jaw on the floor

they're a one trick pony band at this point, which is fine I guess. There are bands that pull that stuff off well, but I want them to actually push themselves outside their comfort zone. Right now it's looking like it's P2: Part 4 though which I'm not really looking forward to.

I'd love that too, but idk its more Spencer and Misha so I should at least see this as a 4-4.5

Track is easy 4.5 or a 5 for me, the middle section just brings it to the next fucking level

For real, I'm in between those as well, I'm sure with a few more spins it will be a straight 5.

yeahhh not sure how I feel about Garden. It's the type of song I hoped they would steer away from. I would love for people on this site to take Periphery seriously, but this song will just perpetuate all the negativity. Just not very interesting, feels like a b-side

I like the new song quite a bit. Considerably more than Blood Eagle. I don't find this band particularly interesting when they go all in on the "heavy" sound. I think they're much stronger when they focus on more melodic material. Same goes for Spencer's vocals. He's a better singer than screamer. His melodies on the new track are pretty great.

For once I actually agree with Toondude. New song is ok but I don't get the hype. Maybe I was just groggy when I listened to it but nothing made my jaw "drop to the floor".

New track was pretty boring for Periphery standards

Agreed, felt like there wasn't a ton going on. They've had much more interesting melodic songs. I'll give it another chance tho

I'm the guy who hypes up Absolomb to no end, so this was a great track that kind of moves in that direction.

Absolomb is a top-3 Periphery track for me. Other two might be Luck as a Constant and Stranger Things.

Absolomb is like top 1 for me, then Lune and Mile Zero
