Heard of these guys on a Facebook sponsored ad or something and got curious, and this has convinced me. I don't delve into doom/black/death very often so we will see how it goes.

I just hope there is at least one song on this album that can live up to The Long Road Home

The Long Road Home was my least favorite track on Sky Burial. Felt like little more than a pretentious jam session for the first 7 minutes.

"Yeah, I'm conflicted about that passage. I especially thought it might have been a bit much to reference U.S. Christmas. Like, that's a deep cut even for Sputnik. But I also think it's the most accurate way to describe the music, so ¯_(ツ)_/¯"

I would just try and talk more about the sound rather than reference similar bands to do that for you, but like I said, it's still a good review so I'm nitpicking.

Nice review.

I heard of this band about a month ago, but I still haven't given them a listen. This seems like a decent place to start

Yeah it built up so well. For a song that was basically 10 minutes of building, it does a fantastic job of keeping me entertained.

So good. There a nice mixing pot of genres on here too, that purely psychadelic track is so dope. Best IA for me.

Summer Drones, Potomac, and The Paradise Gallows save this album. Those 3 tracks made the album worth it. That last track is pretty good too. Rest was okay.

Definitely a beautiful cover. The music didn't hold up as much as I had hoped.
