Also Roots to Sever ending is way more soothing than I think I ever appreciated until now

The end of Roots is one of my favorite melodeath sections ever.

Good album but this actually might be my least favorite Be'lakor as of late.

Something about this album is very distinct from the rest of their discography. I can't quite put my finger on it but it feels like they stepped (a little bit) away from the extremely riff focused style of their previous albums in favor of a more atmospheric sound.

Not to say that this album doesn't bring the riffs at times, but just not as much as their prior works. I actually think Coherence stepped back in the stylistic direction of their previous albums.

^ ironically you actually nailed why this is my favorite album from the discog, it's the emphasis on atmosphere that elevates it for me

Hot take: Of Breath and Bone is a good bit better than this album.

Of breath and bone > Coherence > Vessels > Stone’s Reach. And I haven’t heard their first, The Frail Tide.

I do like this album a lot, hence my rating. Something about it feels disjointed though and it’s always bugged me a little. Dunno if anyone else feels that way too or knows what I’m talking about.

Well if that's true, I can't wait to check out the rest of the discog. I'm very choosy when it comes to melodeath.

look up venator and prepare, the slow riff towards the end is my favorite moment in all of metal

They may be the most consistent melodeath band so far, but no way are they the best band of the genre.

Also, this album got me hooked, but I prefer Coherence and Stone's Reach slightly to this one, so yeah, you do have a treasure trove yet unopened there buddy
