Best modern melodeath band for me. These guys shit on Insomnium and other overrated crap.

Cannot wait for the new one.

Whoa whoa WHOA. I'd put these guys way the fuck up there within the ranks of melodeath, top 5 at least, but speaking ill of Insomnium is some blasphemous bullshit sir.

No, he exaggerates a bit, but it is correct and I was happy so see it because I can't fucking get into Insomnium.

Yeah, I remember buying ATWW, because many people were praising it, and it bored me to tears. Average album at best. Winter's gate is pretty dope tho

I'll give you a pass as a fellow lover of Be'lakor, but it is cemented in stone as fact that Above the Weeping World is the best album ever created

Insomnium is good but I don't like the depressing aspect of their music. It's meant to be sad and I'd rather listen to Be'Lakor which sounds a lot more triumphant and makes you want to LIVE... which is ironic given this is death metal

I actually find their music to be uplifting despite the melancholic atmosphere. I mean, the riffs are so cool -- even stuff like Dying Chant puts me in a good mood.

But yeah Be'lakor slays too, I need to jam this again soon, it's been a long time.

Best current day Australian metal band? Probably.

(though I have a soft spot for Deströyer 666 as well)
