I reckon you'll dig it, give it a few tries before you solidify your opinion though, it's a grower

Attempted to listen last night but was whisked away to sleep. Revisiting now to make up for lost listening. There's something special about this one. Really pretty stuff so far (based on the first three songs), kind of reminds me of a cross between Pavement and Parachutes-era Coldplay.

Found it interesting to learn the other night that former Seam frontman Sooyoung Park was (is?) in this band; The Problem with Me was one of my favorite discoveries of 2016, and likewise this one could easily end up as one of my favorite discoveries of 2017.

Interesting, don't think I've heard anything by Seam.

Glad you're digging this. I'll have to check ee's For 100 We Try Harder album soon.

I can definitely see this growing to a 4.5... possibly even a 5 some distance down the line? I've been listening to it compulsively over the past week or so, big shoutout to you and Boney for pimping this

This is certainly a very strong 4, at this point I've spun it enough that it's unlikely to grow to a 4.5 though.

Slapping a 3.5 on this for now after one spin, listening to this is like a 90's flashback

Why this has a 'post-rock' label on RYM I have no idea

Nice one Doof, hope it grows on you a bit.

Idk where the post-rock label comes from either, certainly there's a lot of atmosphere here but stylistically it's pretty much straight indie rock. The only song I could see being sort of post-rock is Sutro but even that's kind of a stretch. I've downvoted the post-rock tag on RYM but it hasn't gone away.

I've followed suit so now the post-rock tag is even for upvotes and downvotes; I imagine the next downvote will remove the tag from the album page.

Apparently post-rock is the *only* tag on their artist page; has me curious if later albums lean more in that direction

The follow-up might as the song lengths appear to be longer.

I wouldn't be surprised, this has etchings of kind of spacey indie folk.

Doof mate, thought you'd dig this hard - any notable tracks? One Less Year is a top 20 OAT song.

Phero I need to give this at least a couple more listens but it's definitely my sort of thing

This one's more subtly intricate than it at first sounds, multiple listens are definitely required.
