summer of '16 is so significant to me and I can't even tell why. All I can say is that I used to play this album a lot. Performed Dark Necessities live a year later as well (my first bass performance ever, and it wasn't a disaster, mind you!)

Yeah I played this album pretty heavily around then too, that's really cool about the bass performance. Playing a Flea track as your first performance is a pretty ballsy move.

Have you ever met a guitarist? Now multiply that by 2.

pretty ballsy move [2]. Also I was watching a live video the other day and for some reason the band had a second bass player on the song.

I don't know if it was ballsy or not since I had a lot of time to practice (and my pointer finger of my right had hated me for a while). Thing is I had a blast.

Wish they just had both John and josh considering both worked together a ton on John’s solo stuff too. Also helps with playing songs live like Venice queen.

New song is fine, but fairly boring. I still look forward to the album, though.

Pretty sure UL trumps this and IWY…but not by all that much.

I was kind of excited about the new album since Frusciante rejoined, but you can hardly tell he's on it.

I know I'm not really a fan of this band because I still think this is their joint best album with Californication.

I'm on a RHCP frenzy right now, tried this yesterday and I don't think I was able to make it past the first half.
To be fair I also think SA was crap
