Ok, almost done this record for the first time. I love it. Leagues better than L'Enfant. I'll need a few more spins when I'm at home and can focus better, but this might be in my rotation for a while.
It's a shame it took such an intimate tragedy to coax it out of them, and I haven't listened to their prior stuff in a couple of years, but this is them at their most honest. Big fan after 1 listen.

Pretty much yeah, I think they should have taken it even further and really made the heaviness compliment the atmosphere better. It's more like one or the other, where the metal sections sound far removed.
