See, I feel like even though it's melodic and light, he goes way harder on Sirens than he does on SS and Blackest Balloon. I like his hard hitting bars but when the music is so uninteresting it's meh

i don't rly hear how the softer beats are better tbh. they sound pretty generic to me and geared towards airplay over anything else. actually i think the production on Taboo is kinda weak in general compared to 32 zel/shrooms and Imperial.
