I was not aware of the concept of Entropia. It makes the listening more interesting. Pain of Salvation can truly please any prog fans since metal is not that much in the forefront and when metal comes, it's accessible and pleasant. Personally, it's the further I can go when it comes to metal.

PoS are gifted with an incredible singer with high vocal capacities, and the band has the knack to offer great melodies and moving atmospheres through all their discog imo, and that's why I dig them so much.

I thought that Johan Hallgren was already into the band for Entropia.

Excellent informative and detailed review, buddy. Pos'd.

I must confess that I'm a great fan of conceptual albums. Sincerely, my reviews about those albums are definitely the reviews that give me more pleasure to make.

As probably you have noticed, many of my reviews made here to Sputnik are about those kind of albums. So, we have "Tales From Topograhic Oceans", "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway", "Thick as A Brick", "Still Life", "Dust And Dreams", "Harbour Of Tears", "Journey To The Centre Of The Earth", "The Wall", "Halloween", "Into The Electric Castle" and "Entropia", which are all of them albums with a very clear concept. "Selling England By The Pound", "The Incident", "On This Perfect Day", "The Geese And The Ghost" and "Pictures At An Exhibition" are also albums that somehow have a kind of a concept behind them.

So, as both we know that the concept of a conceptual album is a very important thing in those type of albums. I always devote a lot of attention on my reviews about its concept. So, in general, I spend many time and lines about them. This is even more important in the case of Pain Of Salvation. All Pain Of Salvation's albums are conceptual albums and they always have considered the concept of the album one of the most important things on their albums. We can even say that in the case of this band, the concept can worth even 50% of the album.

I'm very glad also that my review could help you to understand better the concept behind the album. And I also strongly agree with you when you say that Pain Of Salvation can truly please any prog metal fans because they're accessible and pleasant. They're really an incredible band and Daniel is an incredible singer with high vocal capacities. And as I wrote before, Pain Of Salvation is a band that never was afraid of change and to experiment new things, can we like it or not.

Yeah, Jethro, Hallgren was not present on this debut album. Magdic was the real founder guitarist of the band and made really a terrific working on the album.

Finally, thanks buddy for your comments and by your pos.

Anyway, I will return, very soon, with more conceptual albums. At least, I intend that my three next reviews will be also about three other conceptual albums.

Cheers.

Keep the good work coming, man.

Also I can't wait for the next PoS release. They officially started to work on new material which will be (of course) a concept album that goes back to the band's harder and heavier roots of the good old times. As we know it, it's gonna be with the help of a total new line up, but Daniel says he is well surrounded to benefit of some creative writing sessions.

Cheers, bud.

You really gave me excellent news. Sincerely, I really didn't know that Pain Of Salvation is preparing a new album. But especially the most interesting part about the good news is that they are returning to their heavier roots of the good old times. Despite I like of the Road Salt albums, I never was a great fan of them. Sincerely, I always thought that we must expect much more of any Pain Of Salvation's release.

So, as with you, I've also great expectations about their new album.

Once more, thanks a lot, man.

Yeah, probably you're right. But this is our way to be in the world. Perhaps when you have our age you do the same. We don't belong, me and Jethro, to the new generation which almost only writes in the new media, computers, cell phones and tablets. In our times, we liked to write in a more complete and regular form, I think.

So, have patience with us.

Sorry man, but I almost forgot of saying something more about the album. If it wasn't because your review of today about One Hour by the Concrete Lake, probably I would forget to do so. By the way, I need to check some other reviews in Sput.

I check their first two albums and I like of both. As I told you in my comment about the other review, I prefer their debut. Both are great, but this is a better album to me.

The review is great as usual. So, have another pos.
