Sputnik tags say that Sabbat are black metal/thrash. I maintain that if they count as thrash metal, so does Trivium.

But I will give them a listen.

@Space: I’m pleased you delivered the stock response I was looking for, lol. Seriously I haven’t heard a ton of thrash, but this is so much more satisfying than anything I have heard that I’m sure it’s true. People keep telling me to jam Voivod/Coroner/Megadeth/Toxik/Psychotic Waltz (OK that’s just Source) etc. Yeah I’m sure there’s something out there for me. I usually prefer thrash with blackened or death influences I guess.

It might be the stock response but it’s only because it’s a super common occurrence

When people say stuff like thrash sucks or all sounds the same it really just shows ignorance. Not saying Vektor will become shit to your ears as soon as you hear Toxik, but anyone who likes Vektor should at least have an appreciation for other great artists in the genre and believe it or not there is no shortage of them

And yea all the bands Source listed are great. Psychotic Waltz isn’t really thrash though, more so just really technical and angular prog metal

I’ve been here many times before, it was in jest. I wasn’t expecting the response you gave, thought it was a well trodden path by now. Don’t think I’ve abandoned all hope of finding amazing thrash elsewhere.

Really good, not quite as insane as Contra Omnes and maybe a bit on the prog side with longer more diverse tracks. Compositionally ace tho and well worth listening to, I liked it almost as much

Come on, man. I love Annihilator but this album is at least as good as anything they've ever done.
