I am A-okay with rehashed Coroner and Toxik riffs. Those guys haven't released anything in fucking ages.

This album is pretty good yeah - although I listened to the one before and then suddenly realized a few of these tunes are rehashes of their own previous material

They're theirs. Nothing wrong with that as long it gets better, specially as whole m/ but I shouldn't say this cause I haven't checked the sophomore yet lol

I always really liked 'Psychotropia' and wondered why people didn't get too excited by it...but there's a track that's almost identical on the previous album

This album is more ambitious than Outer Isolation, which is concise and focused but nowhere near as flashy. There are definite similarities between the two records, at least if you cherry pick specific sections dotted throughout both records. I'd say the overall package has enough differences for it not to be considered a rehash, although I'm not entirely sure which section you're talking about.

I agree this seems like the perfect refinement of their sound, so I'm not too bothered - haven't tried the debut yet though

I also need to give this a full listen for the first time since the year it was released, I tend to just listen to a few songs at a time now

I never listen to this spontaneously, always feel the need to plan in advance/clear my schedule in order to guarantee it can be completed. Then again, this is one of my favourite albums, I can see how this would work in smaller doses for some.

Black Future is amazing too, it has a few more melodic tendencies and a slightly more melancholic atmosphere, but it's still recognisable as Vektor (if working backwards).

Metal Doof has lost his edge. Nice.

And yeah any dose works for this.

Don’t worry it looks like Vektor is on the same track

There are modern thrash bands doing better things than Vektor though imo

Another reminder that everyone here should check Bestial Invasion - Contra Omnes.

Firstly, it is not true that fascism is only the fighting organisation of the bourgeoisie. Fascism is not only a military-technical category. Fascism is the bourgeoisie’s fighting organization that relies on the active support of Social-Democracy. Social-Democracy is objectively the moderate wing of fascism. There is no ground for assuming that the fighting organization of the bourgeoisie can achieve decisive successes in battles, or in governing the country, without the active support of Social-Democracy. There is just as little ground for thinking that Social-Democracy can achieve decisive successes in battles, or in governing the country, without the active support of the fighting organization of the bourgeoisie. These organizations do not negate, but supplement each other. They are not antipodes, they are twins. Fascism is an informal political bloc of these two chief organizations; a bloc, which arose in the circumstances of the post-war crisis of imperialism, and which is intended for combating the proletarian revolution. The bourgeoisie cannot retain power without such a bloc. It would therefore be a mistake to think that 'pacifism' signifies the liquidation of fascism. In the present situation, 'pacifism' is the strengthening of fascism with its moderate, Social-Democratic wing pushed into the forefront.

I believe bloc was mentioned somewhere wrongly. I think he should pop in and defend himself.
