I wonder how he will go about that. First tune his guitar a half step down, then write; or write everything first, then tune to E?

I would think he'd write everything in E. Most of the time when I've tried writing anything in E and then recording it in a different tuning it has a completely different feel and sometimes sounds incredibly off. I'm thinking it should have a fairly noticeable effect on their sound
