Prodigal Son is a personal favorite. Lacuna Rules. I enjoy Wind for Wings quite a bit as well.

TFP finishes with an amazing trilogy of Allure -> Sapphire -> Chemical cave that flows together beautifully. Dreamless doesn't go out quite as strong, but I do believe Lacuna is a great song.

No question that TFP is a better album, but I'd almost argue that Dreamless' highs might be higher. The Void Alone may be the best song they ever wrote. Scar Queen is right up there as well. Not having something like "A Starlit Path" to grab you, though, hurts here.

The music video for abandon looks like it was shot for about $200 but is somehow really, really good. Killer jam, but I put Scar Queen above it.

The only reason that it might not be Scar Queen is that it might be The Void Alone. So fucking catchy. And I have a thing for vocalists who predominantly stick in the safe zone, reserving (in TVA's particular case) super high shrieks for particularly moving moments. Alex doing so at the end of the song pretty much seals the deal for me. John Henry in Darkest Hour pulls it off a lot too, though he goes low. "Stand and Receive Your Judgement" is legend for his performance, imo.

Becoming the man takes more than words

Hate the way my thoughts they sway

Home is but a place, a cage in a frame"

Fallujah's leads are basically incomparable at this point. Fucking infectious.

they really are, they also have a very unique tone which solidifies that recognizable sound

They are the biggest reason I love them and prefer the newer two albums over the debut. Cerebral Hybridization is sick, obviously, but beyond that I'm not a big fan of the album. Scott's really come into his own as a writer and the band has basically become a vehicle for his work, at this point.

I used to dislike both Fidelo and Les Silences.

But after finally relistening to this album again, I really like them.
