I saw Asgeir say something about working on a new SA song I think...

Awesome. Like Watchtower with the singer from Psychotic Waltz.

one of the worst bass sounds in modern metal.
else the album is great but the mixing annoys me so much that i have listened to it just a few times.
it sounds like crap, what a shame.

The bass isn't really any different than the rest - every element of the sound on this album is kind of ridiculous, meant to stand out completely. Even compositionally the album is totally hectic. I love it, but I think it's silly when people single out the bass as being offensive.

The bass mix is a shame, or the range chosen for tuning it is poor. Besides the album is
enjoyable.

This album is so much fun. So many time signature changes, what the hell. I've yet to find a single person capable of headbanging to Spinning.

Insect is one of those songs I can leave on loop

Yeah, Insect is definitely a highlight.
I'm considering writing a review for this, this one seems a bit outdated. Then again, I also suck at writing reviews.

Well, I keep saying that the vocalists of Kreator and Slayer have very similar voices and get a lot of shit for it from thrash metal fans, so what do you know
|
| |
I love both Slayer and Kreator and I agree wholeheartedly with that statement. The vocalist of Kreator has definitely fine-tuned his voice a bit more than Ayara, and Ayara just shouts but other than that they definitely have a very similar sound.
And I can't decide how I feel about this album. I've been listening to it a lot recently but I think that's just because I'm still trying to form an opinion. Very technical, but it's such an odd album.

The Sabbath song is better

My rating probably would not be as high if Norberg was not quite possibly the Jaco of Norway.
