"There was this ONE level that I think both Knuckles and Rouge got to in the game. It was one in space with a lot of meteorites and planets and lava and shit. The music in that level was fucking great. Especially the sampled vocal harmony. *orgasm*"

That's only a Knuckles level, Rouge's is the one with the 3 planets and has different music. I know this game a little too well lol, it was the first video I game ever owned.

oh man "meteor herd" is so good
and i re-checked out rouge's stage music last night (well, re-checked so much as listened to them for the first time since i played this game as a pre-teen or whatev) & it reminded me of Cowboy Bebop's OST, on the topic of which, Blue is one of my favorites

@Jiggly They both got in space, but the levels are different. Rogue's had a bunch of different planets while Knuckles' was more linear.

bio lizard song is the best in the game imo [2]
i love how that song incorporates the main melody from "live and learn" in the chorus

Dry Lagoon is hands down my favorite one musically, it's so tight.
