will have to check cuz i thought this was at least decent
|
| |
always thought this band was generally very boring minus a couple of great songs, but very much loving the new album, never thought i’d see the day
|
| |
taker absolutely fucks
|
| |
for the guilty is huge as well
|
| |
def
can’t tell how much of an effect the element of surprise is having on my reaction to it, but there’s rly not one song i don’t like. them going this route seems risky in a way so i also think that’s cool
|
| |
also investigated your ratings for this year yesterday and found that new rei clone album, so thank u for that. i have listened to Pixie 3 times today
|
| |
yeah thats a great album, hope more people find out about it
might revisit this and see if ive softened on it at all since I was so impressed w the new record
|
| |
i have always enjoyed Doused when i’ve heard it, and take your time (i think it’s called) from this album
|
| |
still very shocked at how good the new one is, i keep listening to it

Healthy Moon came up on the work playlist just now, whole floor was jammin'.
May bump this up just based on that experience.

just listened to Deceiver again for the first time in probably a year and it still ruuuules, so much better than all of their other albums

This and Oshin aren't amazing, but they're 100% better than Deceiver's mid-tempo shit.

It's what I do.
Don't really find myself listening to any DIIV album though, if I'm being honest. Very forgettable band, outside of a few songs.

Totally agree with that take

"something tells me your disposition keeps you from doing so, particularly with deceiver : )"
No, that album's just not very good.
|
| |
deceiver will stand the test of time and all prior albums willl continue to be mid
(listening to deceiver rn…)
|
| |
it’s… like just so disproportionately their best album and it’s not even close

Deceiver is amazing, but it takes time to get hooked. This one’s different in style, more accessible ‘cause it has better melodies. The stretch from ‘Yr Not Far’ to ‘Incarnate Devil’ is very strong.
