This band sucked until this album.

Now they don't.

If I thought Agony was okay at best and Labyrinth was basically a shitshow, is this still worth listening to

I've only heard 2 Septicflesh albums, but they're not too good either. Better than this band though I'll def give them that.

Oracles had moments. Largely ignorable band in general though.

This band's sound gets real old real fast for me. I like the idea of the classical orchestration with chuggy riffs, but it just isn't enough to keep me interested. And those clean vocals too, they aren't bad when used sparsely but they sound the same in every song. The riffs IMO have been pretty boring over the last 3 albums.

Septicflesh is horrible! Listened to them cause I liked Labyrinth and somebody of course told me that they were so much better.

Of course, I was surprised I liked Labyrinth in the first place. This isn't my usual flava. I like some death metal, but not a lot.

Either way, tonight is gonna kick balls!

only half way through and it's not bad or anything but these guy are pretty much on full fire intensity for the entirety of the record

i see that it's part of their appeal but there's no 'huge' without more delicate, quieter moments to give it context. it's all just kind of blurring together into this sonic mess because they literally have no other mode than "HUGE ORCHESTRAL FLOURISHES MASSIVE RIFFS CONSTANT ON THE GO MADNESS" and they're really doing themselves a disservice because of it

If they would boil their songs down to 2-minute grind-esque blast-fests, then I'd be totally on board.

First time listening and the production is atrocious. I mean I had this at a low volume and it still hurt my ears. And the orchestrations are so sloppily slapped onto the songs, they're so extremely out of place. A lot of wasted potential
