"Even some professional singers have lessons on regular basis to stay in shape"

Exactly. I don't buy that the food poisoning incident led him to his current shitty state and i can't believe people are still buying it. I just think he was just lazy and never tried too hard to recover and didn't practice to get his voice back.

I also read in YTube that he might suffer from chronic MTD (Muscle Tension Dysphonia) but i'm not a doctor to back it up.

My point exactly.

"I just think he was just lazy and never tried too hard to recover and didn't practice to get his voice back."

Not entirely my opinion. I think he really put in some some hard effort to come back in shape and succeeded pretty well for some time. However in the course of the years he definitely got lazy and became totally uncritical and unreflective of his performance which lead him to this current pitiful state...

Agree with Davil, I'm sure he still could've been a decent vocalist at his age but he just doesn't put in the effort.

Just saw a guy on the street in New York with a Dream Theater 'The Astonishing' T-shirt on. I went up to him, he was excited, and recognized me. I asked him ''What's with the shirt?'' if he's such a big fan of mine, Why would he support an album that I wasn't even on? He was all apologetic. ''Mr. PornToy, please, I'm such a big fan! I didn't mean any disrespect! My Grandma bought me the shirt!'' Unfortunately, it didn't save his punk ass. I annihilated him right there on the fucking spot. Shoved a drum stick up his ass, and went to get some coffee.

@Mike: did you say your famous catchphrase "eat my ass and balls" while you did the deed?

How did John Petrucci suddenly lose the ability to write good lyrics? They were killer on Images/Awake, and they've been garbage since Black Clouds.

Yea, he always had some really bland/cheesy lines, but there were also some pretty good lyrics by Petrucci. But since BC&SL it's just ... corny, cheesy, bland, cringy etc. all the time

Myung needs to write more lyrics. I'm not sure if I want lyrics by LaBrie tho, his stuff was often pretty average

DT has been corny/cheesy since Scenes, which I accepted. Bland came after BC&SL.

Cringy came after ADTOE.
