Hmm, I didn't think there was much melody at all on this album. Lots of extreme riffs, that's about it.



Only highlight on the album for me was "Blashyrkh (Might Ravendark)", the only song not to feature Abbath's blast beats as we ll, haha.This Message Edited On 07.08.08

Well, with old school black metal, you get what you get. Something grim, cold, dark, and awesome. I don't agree with your review, but early Immortal is straight up and to the point.

This album is extremely annoying; the levels are way too high, and the mastering is poor. The songwriting seems decent, but cannot be appreciated due to the issues mentioned.

This certainly has its moments, mostly I wasn't all that impressed with it though.

idk, they sound fierce enough to me. i'm getting to that point with black metal where i'm all "i've heard stuff that is better or just as good" and facing disappointments, though.
