js when i 5 something it doesnt mean i think its the best thing of all time ever it usually means i think its either classic to its time period, quintessential to its genre, or just an album i consider flawless.

I mean, yes, a "ton" means that too. Then there's the figurative sense. Cl0ver, I suppose it sounded like that, but potsy mentioned that he more or less uses the handy descriptors below the numbers, so in that sense it seems pretty reasonable.

That's understandable. When I 5 something it's usually just an album that I think is outright amazing and will in some way stick with me for a long time. So in a way it is "best thing forever and ever" but it's not some exclusionary factor as it's more just my silly way of saying it's perfect to me.

i have albums like that that i dont think are classic, quintessential, or perfect and i 4.5 them. some of my fav albums that ive listened to more than anything else are 4.5's
