I had been saying and thinking this is pretty good, today i stand corrected: this is perhaps one of the best albums ever made.

Man, people aren't kidding. The drumming on this is completely out of place. Blast beats make no sense during most of this ep. Personally, the drumming really killed most of this ep's enjoyment for me.

What? There's like 1 dude saying that on this thread. Drums are insane in this EP. Everything is pretty much perfect on this EP. It's amazing really

Love the drumming. Programmed or not, it's extremely well done and sounds wonderful. And if they ARE programmed, it's probably the best programmed drums I've ever heard in my entire life. My two cents

You know that feeling of loving a band's release so much that you will absolutely check their other releases, but for liking that first one you heard so much, you're brought to a standstill and it's almost like you're waiting on the perfect moment to check the rest, like milking that one release by them that you love and letting the dust settle for a while? Almost like you're afraid to listen to the rest of their stuff, in a sort of awkward and nonsensical way.
That's me towards this band right now.

Penny: Just listen to their other records and if they don't feel as magical to you as this, flip back to this and continue on.

this is nowhere near as good as the rest of their stuff

In my opinion Gaslighter tops Stone Devils as the best song they've released. Hell Libertine and Circle of Manias are right up there too. Rain Gallery is alright, but really different from anything they've ever put out. And oddly enough Vice Regalia feels like the weakest song on here considering it's the title of the EP. But I guess it's a fitting song to end on, at least thematically considering it's the end of the band. Not perfect, but still a bloody good EP in my opinion.

I'll listen to their other stuff very soon!
Well my favorite part of this EP are Rain Gallery and Vice Regalia, now I can tell apart. Still, EP comes near perfection for me, for sure.

Check out the song Blue Devils by Dirge, it's basically like the first part of that song. It's from an earlier band called Dirge from the same song writer & lead guitar player/vocalist.
EDIT: Dirge

Volume II is excellent! (Volume I comes with Vol II and it's also wonderful on its own)
Also their part on the split with Chronos is also pretty cool.
Don't mind me, just reporting. Vice Regalia AOTY 2015 for sure.
