i wonder why misha bothered with programmed drums. there must be a hundred thousand talented djent kid drummers out there who'd die to play drums for him. and while my ears don't really pick it up, lots of people seem to find programmed drums appalling. also if they ever wanna play this live, surely they'd have ta get a drummer anyway

Review and album are great, but your statement about Misha being responsible for pushing djent into modern metal is just not true. Ever heard of Meshuggah?

Misha really created 90% of the buzz with periphery proving that djent blends well enough with prog-metal and alt-shit to sell records. Djentshit has now influenced a lot of mainstream alt-metal acts and shit.

So yea, misha kind of is responsible.

I don't like the drums or mixing on this either, but I've still been blasting this album for the last couple of days.

Love how the album gets more melodic as it goes on. Super solid release. I hear the black metal.

I always feel like I'm hearing something that is breaking boundaries in one way or another when I hear these guys. Hey Mark, welcome :D

Kinda agree with Dbiz, it sounds a bit too digital, but I can get over that.
