This and LS are both one of a kind. And absolutely, Bark Psychosis is nothing like this but another amazing one of a kind one so yea check it.

Post-rock bands rarely use vocals and a lot of this band's charm is their vocals, so there aren't really any bands that sound like this as far as I know. Which is weird given how they invented the genre. There are probably more bands influenced by Tortoise.

I don't think they invented post rock. I barely think it's even post rock

Talk Talk and Slint both helped establish it. TT have many other genres attached to them but given their innovative use of the guitar and layering, I'd say LS is at least definitely post rock. Bark Psychosis' Hex is where the term post rock was invented though.

Good review. I disagree with your comments on Inheritance, but, eh whatever, right? Also not to be nitpicky but I always thought he was saying "spirit" instead of "ahh" at the end of I Believe in You?

Yea this does sound nothing like post rock but kinda in the same way King Crimson's pioneering debut sounds nothing like lots of prog nowadays. Though that was easily more developed, it incorporated jazz fusion which lots of more modern prog bands don't have now whereas this album incorporated lots of instruments that post rock normally doesn't use.
