I did go to school @trilogique21. Most teachers will discourage against starting a sentence with but or and. Just because you technically can do it doesn't mean you should. I was taught to never do that, hence my did you go to school comment. That issue aside, this review still has plenty of problems. There is no structure, no flow, and he uses words like "totally." If someone had no idea who TPIY was and read this review they would have no idea what they sound like or what to expect. Look at his other reviews on his site (youreviews.us), they are just as bad and filled with so many grammatical errors. How he became an editor-in-chief on that site is beyond me.

Plus if you are going to use a coordinating conjunction like but or and at the beginning of a sentence, it has to join two independent clauses. He starts out a new paragraph with but. Regardless it still sounds bad like I mentioned previously.

There's no such thing as proper grammar, just non-standard grammar, which can be perfectly understandable and sound fine. Starting a sentence with 'But' or 'And' is no exception.

it's not really like volumes. i get a lot of nu metal vibes on the heavy tracks and then the melodic ones are just metalcore/post hardcore i guess

You people can bitch all you want, but it has a 3.7 right now and it isn't moving much. Musically it might not be anything special, but the vocal performance was a rare treat. Not many can do vocals like Landon.
