The review for their self-titled on this site was on the front page and I thought the colors on the album cover looked cool enough for me to click it and then hear Touchstone for the first time. I don't think a song has ever just hooked me like that did.
I went on to their site to find Black Fish and Dethroned and those 3 just became my jams for awhile. Then the album finally streamed here and I couldn't have been happier. I remember being 4 minutes into The Pharmacist thinking "wow this is really damn good" and then checking to realize I was only halfway done with it. What a band

I got in thanks to Jade's review of LAL and I was hooked immediately. Hum of a Ceiling Light is such a perfect introduction to this band.

I can think of like 20 tracks that are perfect to introduce this band with making it really hard for me to pick a track to introduce someone to this band with at times

I usually play them Hum of a Ceiling Light. That was my first song I heard by them and it’s also got a dope ass intro that isn’t too weird or crazy

It really sucks about their trailer. These guys have some pretty shitty tour luck.
But I like the new one, it totally feels like a b-side (not in a bad way). One of the most straightforward things they have ever done and it really has an early 2000's alternative pop punk vibe. I wish it had a bridge or something before 1 last chorus to make it feel a bit more complete but I dig this. Definitely doesn't fit with the rest of the album so I can see why they left it off but I'd also be a fan of hearing a few more songs like this from them

I am starting to warm up to some of this. I kind of hate the opener a little bit still, tho.

This one. I haven't bothered with their new one yet after disliking this a fair amount initially.

Mad Machine is so good though :/
Peak and Valley Lines, Werewolf Tea Party, and the title track were all tracks I thought were okay and now they are all in my top 10 ITO songs sooo yeah, growers. but I am the band's biggest fan too so...

I think I listened to one or two of the newer songs but I don't remember them at all. Maybe one of these days I will give it a go.

I think I can say now that the new album is their best
Rearm Circuits > LAL > Pilot Waves > self-titled for me (haven't listened to their first in full)

The Spotless Mind is definitely worth a listen. Tracks like Igloo, Invertebrate, and My Grey Shun are must hears.
ummm my ranking is kinda barely a ranking but
Self-Titled > Pilot Waves >= Rearm Circuits >= LAL > Spotless Mind

I like the S/t the best out of the first 3, but Leviathan and Spotless Mind are both really good, too.

Hey fellas. I'd post this elsewhere but there's no review for Rearm Circuits. If these guys do it for you, then you should check out the LP by Sea in the Sky, "Everything All At Once". They pull of a very similar sound -- emotive high-pitched cleans crooning over progressive, often noodling, instrumentals.
It's very effective. I can't believe I missed the album release after loving the singles released. It's reminding me of these guys in a very good way. They're like two sides of the same coin. Alternate universe versions of each other. Catchy af too. Check em out.
Do it. Go to Youtube or Spotify for their song "Night Anchor". It's the auditory spitting image.
