Until the World Goes Cold is really good still. I like the prechorus a lot

The career arc of trivium:
>a promising metalcore band, surprisingly talented for their age
>blatant and uninspired metallica worship
>a once-promising metalcore band that lost its way but is now getting back on track
>David Draiman's pet project
>a once-promising metalcore band that pissed it all away to become David Draiman's pet project but is now getting back on track

I don't get the hate for this band. Their albums are so good.

When they entered the scene they had the typical emo metalcore look, so lots of people wrote them off like with Avenged. I was shocked at how musically creative they were when I first discovered them and had no idea they were so hated either.

This record could have been so much better. It's one of these records that had a lot of potential wasted, but you can almost feel what it could have been

Only Trivium I havent heard. Vengeance Falls was fucking piss poor and The World Goes Cold was just as bad, so I never peeped this. At least TSATS brought them back to some major quality not seen since Shogun.

This is definitely better than Egg Whites and Vengeance Farts. But that ain't saying much.

Matt's vocals here remind me a lot of Candlemass.

Production is still questionable, but hell, this is really decent

It's not the most exciting thing I've heard, but it's technically harmless. Everything is very clean, from the production down to the vocals (which I genuinely enjoy as a change of pace). Honestly think this is one of the better albums for Matt's vocals and melodies.
Wasn't expecting to enjoy this one as much I do. Second half is hella fun!
