I feel like I'm crazy or something. Why all the love for this record? It's boring and dull like everything else they've done.

I don't mean to be that guy, though I can see the aggregate score for this plummeting. It's a fine album as is, even if Long Live's essentially another one of those same-shit-different-day cases.

Yeah, to be fair, once the sheen wears off, I can see some ratings dropping as well.

Best thing this band has done is that one song for that shite Underworld movie, i recall it being really hard to get a decent sounding MP3 off limewire

Also, the production for this album is like death magnetic tier compression

Oh acad
You're my favorite.

Was not expecting that rating, but the summary blerb drew me in; finished the lines in my head automatically.
Will give this a shot!

4.9 for boring metalcore? Meh. Listen to While She Sleeps instead. Way better.

lol gonna check this out

Calls this boring, recs a band just as boring.

I wouldn't call this boring. It's well done and the production is slick. At this point in metal nothing is original anymore. Especially when a band is trying hard to be original; which generally ends up with less originality. Streaming this on iTunes right now; I would have enjoyed this a lot more without any of the cleans.

the mixing on this is seriously the worst I've ever heard on an album unless my speakers are going out but I'm pretty damn sure it's the mixing. god I hope it's the mixing

to whoever said Pam Beesly is the only one to ever enjoy Lead Sails Paper Anchor. I think that is their best album by far. Best songs. Best sound. Best songwriting. By far. Only Death Grip comes close to matching it. They were evolving and then all the backlash made them awkwardly backtrack.
