"feel embarrassed to see an extreme metal band take themselves that seriously"

Agreed so hard. I don't throw the word pretentious around like a lot of people but the Satananist 'documentary' that came with the album is the single most pretentious thing I've seen.

Band still rules though and I'm sure they're nice guys so no harm done but still

They released An album as Demigod so they can do as they please. I grew up on that band, an my focus with them was enjoying the musical aspect an leaving all that imagery alone. An yeah, Sociology rules.

and Nergal almost did prison time for committing blasphemy. Their previous antics might be lulzy but as far as I care he gets a pass for that.

I don't dislike Behemoth, but I don't really like them either. Their music bores me for the most part.

An shit if I had an opportunity to be a judge on the voice an get paid to promote an energy drink, I'd do it in a Fucking heartbeat. So I'm not gonna judge someone for doing what I would.

I mean probably, but they're still great. Demigod is one of the first dm albums I ever heard and still special to me to this day.

I get so nostalgic with Demigod. I remember buying it on the first day it came out an spinning it 24/7.

Demigod was the most intense album I had ever heard when it came out, it blew my mind. Still rules so hard.

"never caught on that corpsepaint is a joke now"

It has always been a joke among the majority. But I want my BM musicians in warpaint, dammit.

hardly relevant when they've been using their corpsepaint super cereal death metal style for more than a decade :]

nah they established themselves as bm first tho so their aesthetics are allowed to continue to grow [or not] as their style does; if they'd tried to appropriate corpse paint as a dm band then it would've been different :3

they still take cues from BM though as far as imagery/lyrics/atmosphere goes although musically not much ties them to the genre anymore.

Even though I'm not really a fan of this band I still bought a copy of this album so that chick could have more money for food she desperately needs.
