Something we very much agree on Toondude. This one was super disappointing.

decided to give this another shot. It might be my new headphones, but I'm actually liking this more than I did before.

these guys get one more chance with me and if they blow it, i'll probably be over them (kind of like what happened with Birds of Tokyo)

holy shit i was honestly just thinking the same thing... like what other aussie group let me down so much after a stellar first album or two?

new track is out. not bad, but like what i remember of this album, it wasn't very enticing. hell, it was 4 minutes and I thought it was too long.

Oh new album!? NICE.
Hope it's closer to This is the Warning.

Ummm new track is alright...

Little edgier than usual. They kinda just went away from the atmosphere they had before and gave a straight-forward rocker a la Circa Survive. Reminds me of a song off "Blue Sky Noise" or something.

Jericco, though in their case it was EPs ;[

I just want The Butterfly Effect to come back at this point.

yeah they've pretty much abandoned the sound they had on This is A Warning and decided to be diet-Circa Survive
new single isn't bad, but man it really makes you want to listen to Circa Survive instead.

I’ll never get the love for Birds of Tokyo’s first album. It’s a clear cut case of fans glorifying/overrating a bands debut album. It’s good but never veers into great/amazing territory. Even fan favourites like wayside, off kilter etc aren’t that great compared to the top tracks on Universes and the self titled. It’s also Kenny’s worst vocal performance on anything Birds of Tokyo and Karnivool. I also don’t think they dropped off that badly. People like to shit on the self titled because it’s where they broke into the mainstream due to Plans but it’s a consistently great album. Even March Fires has some stand out tracks like White Leaves and Sirin.
New DLC is pretty typical of their post This Is The Warning work. Boring, lacking energy and completely forgettable. Band needs to get on their knees and beg Rob Maric to come back.

agreed stupid hard, although the title track of the first album is still jaw-dropping

Yeah, I agree with Jericco. Their debut didn’t have the magic of their E.Ps though gh it wasn’t actually that bad. I never even checked out their second album.

the last two singles they've released have shown some actual promise. I'm actually kinda looking forward to it now.
'Running Out Of Time' is surprisingly good.

Oh yeah fully agree with the trash talk around Birds of tokyos first album. That album is a huge turd with awful vocals. But even those vocals aren’t as bad as Karnivools very first self titled EP

The Real You is pretty good, I'm actually kinda looking forward to it now [2]
