He's definitely getting further from his punk roots/folk roots of earlier albums, but it's working for him. Glad this album didn't disappoint

This album came along at the perfect time, kind of like the new Senses Fail in terms of the overall theme and mood of the albums. It's definitely more to the point and less ambiguous than his past work, but it's so damn fun that it doesn't matter much, there's 5 other albums of Frank like that at this point.

I fucking love The Next Storm. Demons is creeping up and becoming a favorite, same with Josephine. I see a lot of people dismissing The Opening Act of Spring, but that's another one of my favorites. So fucking happy.

some killer songs on this but i can't connect with it on the same emotional level that i connected to england keep my bones and love ire & song. hell, maybe even tape deck heart was more resonant. however i need to stress again that some of these songs are fuckin killerrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Pretty much the same as how I feel, although I've only had a chance to listen once so far. Could easily be one of my favorite FT albums if it grows.

this one is pretty much what you see is what youre getting: super posi frank. The depth isn’t there lyrically like his past albums, but like I said in the review, the subject matter here is far more straightforward and lacks the lyrical flourishes if ambiguity and extended metaphor, but fuck if the straightforward route isn’t perfect for this album

Yeah I don't mind lighthearted and straightforward. It's good every now and then.

Mittens is my favorite. Reminds me of Polaroid Picture which was my favorite on TDH.
