My first 'deth was Countdown when that came out. Then went back to Rust and others. Drifted in and out of their discog as I got into heavier and more interesting metal but this is average. First saw them for World Needs a Hero tour and that album is so much more interesting than this imo

Interesting take. This album I have always seen as their “return to form release after about 3 lower quality releases. The world needs a hero came across as pretty tacky to me and I didn’t think the more rock styling of that or risk played out well.

Hangar 2 was my favorite cut off that and all it did was highlight how much worse the bands sound had gotten over time when compared with original hangar. This album was MUCH needed to wipe the slate clean and start again closer to where they had began.

Well that's imo ofc...not trying to diminish anyone's enjoyment. Heck, i like Risk, Remains by Annihilator and some other albums fans seem to hate too ^^
But still, to me this album was a true return to form for Megadeth.
