^^^ i hope you realize all of those albums were in the 'Beatlemania' stage... this album has a completly different sound in which i prefer. Every song is amazing. The whole album is 5/5 and the ratings were poorly made. My opinion...

I fail to see how this is a landmark Psychedelic rock album. I only detect a few elements of Psychedelica on this album. PATGOD is a lot more important for the genre to me.

Great Album... this album is what got me started on the Beatles... i heard the song "For the benefit of Mr. Kite!" at a friends party and askd the DJ what the album was and who the artist was and got the album... after this album i got every other album the Beatles themselves produced like Live at the BBC... Let It Be and The Beatles (akak the White Album)

What's wrong with being a fan of the Beatlemania period?

If it was up to me, I'd give A Day In The Life 37/5. Good review, man.
The Beatles were THE best band ever.

I'm sorry, but this album definitely deserves a 5/5.

I love this album. It does have its skip tracks, though (Within You, Without You, Good Morning Good Morning.) Both Sgt. Pepper songs are the highlights of the album and i cant get enough of She's Leaving Home. Lucy gets annoying after a while but i can take it every once in a while. Overall a fine album and a 4/5.

It was 20 years ago today, sgt. pepper taught the band to play :D

This is good, but completely owned by Revolver.

I like this album alot. 'Lucy...' is so eerie and the helium-like vocals are very cool. I think 'Fixing a Hole' is great, though. 'A Day in the Life' is also a classic.
Abbey Road's my fav, but.

4/5. I like Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Lovely Rita, A Day in the Life, and Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite! a lot, but I don't care for some of the other songs.

Great album, but not the best as is so often claimed. Revolver has better songs and flows better.
Still a masterpiece

I really like the Beatles alot. My favorite songs are:
SGT. Peppers lonely hearts Club Band
Lovely Rita
With A little Help from My Friends
and many more.
They are one of my favorite band ever.

I love this album 5/5. Definitely not their best work, but still a breakthrough album. The beginning and end are amazing, while there are a few weaker tracks in the middle. None of the songs are bad though, and I never skip any of them.
Holland's right that the reason it was #1 was because it was influential, but Rolling Stone's lists suck anyways, so nobody should really pay any attention to that. It's a great album even if it isn't the best album ever.

I'd say this is fourth best Beatles album of the four that I've heard.
