This is a kick against the establishment, a venting of frustration and anger that is palpable and timeless. As an album there's absolutely nothing that dilutes it despite all the accusations hurled at it.

Yes Mclaren was pilfering ideas from the Dolls and trying to craft his 'sexy young assassins' but the band was made up of a gang who could never be moulded and weren't.
