It follows similar BB formula but has some more aggressive instrumental depth to it at times and a few more awesome screams from Ben than usual. I just still have to wonder how amazing it would be to hear a very heavy BB. I want an album that sounds like blow me away, believe, topless, crawl, breaking the silence, feed the wolf, pysycho, tourniquette with even more Ben growls:screams.

I dig the first partly subdued chorus in Close to Heaven, the "I'm coming home" part too

Got a newfound appreciation for this album. The verses of The Great Divide are pretty endearing

I’m about halfway through this and so far feeling that this is easily their weakest album

Yeah only song here I thoroughly enjoy is Angels Fall. Thought these guys were gonna be a consistent 3-3.5 across the board on their albums but oh well

Generic early-2000’s post-grunge with an alt-metal edge and the same recycled self-depreciating lyrics that other contemporary bands have done before.

Some of the vocal melodies in Close to Heaven kick booty ngl.
