you'll know where to find us, our best years behind us

barefoot pilgrims at shrines of our youth

our joy was electric, our circles concentric

converging on statues of permanence

Like how do you even think of a lyric like that? And then make it roll of the tongue. Unreal.

After Its All Crazy and Ten Stories, I thought mWy would just settle into one of those bands that I loved when I was younger, but would never capture the magic again. Like a Minus the Bear. Love their first few albums then just casually enjoy the later stuff. Then this fucking album happened. Holy shit dude, its so powerful. I get chills every single time I listen to Rainbow Signs, even 3 years later. How is that even possible?

Listening to Rainbow Signs for the first time is insane. I'm never going to hear that song again for the first time.

That makes me sad.

Not regretting going back to previous mwY records so far. This was a great listen.

Picking between this, Untitled and Brother, Sister for the number one spot is a arduous task.

noticed the 4 avg a few weeks ago. I think a lot of people revisited or listened for the first time thanks to new album momentum, and it's been getting some love.

"this album is incredible and absolutely better than the new one"

Nuh-uh, new one is great but it doesn't hold up as a whole like this one. The consistency of tone here is so damn good and ultimately bleaker imo

that's what Art is saying, that this album is better than [Untitled]

yeah the new one isn't as compelling as this one imo either, it actually grew off me kinda quickly

I love both but the slight edge goes to this, as Johnny said, the overall more bleaker tone and atmosphere of this album is superb
