Angel Dust has it's moments but the only thing I really like by Mike Patton is Tomahawk and it's not even Patton I really enjoy about the band (members of Jesus Lizard and Helmet are the key interests in that band).

Tomahawk is cool

Delerium Cordia by Fantomas is really good too

I like some of his work with John Zorn

Lovage is dope and Peeping Tom has some great beats its just a shame that his lyrics almost make it unlistenable

and I used to love Irony is a Dead Scene but thats not really my scene anymore.

otherwise its all garbage pre much

dw Potsy you won't be thinking that in a few years when you get into King for a Day..., i've been reliably informed that it'll happen soon enough.
..and the overreacting, pedantic, ass-hattery award goes to Arcade!

California by Bungle is pretty easy to get into. It's a good mixture of genres past and present. Give it a listen. I'm sure..no wait. I'm fairly certain you'll like it.

I mean patton doesn't even write a lot of the lyrics he sings on most of his projects so

ergo, "i've been reliably informed that it'll happen soon enough." so you really don't have ground to stand on tbh.
Hahaha. Good lord, man! Wasn't one award enough?

I thought Gould mainly composed the music and Patton wrote most of the lyrics.

patton seems like a good dude and i was majorly into fnm and mr bungle growing up but they don't get many plays these days, especially bungle. having heard a lot of his projects up through the 2000s i'd put angel dust as the best thing he's been involved with. 1st tomahawk record was cool but they've sucked balls for a while now, duane denison doesn't riff like he used to

and this is without doubt the worst thing this band has ever done

Great review! Totally agree, this album is awesome! Not a fan of the production though... The sound is quite muddy imo.

if I'm not mistaken Patton actually had very little to do with this album other than singing and lyrics. Gould and Roddy had a lot of it written before he even rejoined.

Had a few listens and this is awesome. Long over-due comeback album.
