I def think the veil of maya vibe is still there, there's just a good many moments that are very different for them. I like them going so melodic.

Honestly? I think its a fun album. I usually don't expect bands like VoM to drop total masterpieces and when I heard the song Mikasa I figured "Welp, I know what the album is probably going to sound like."
I wasn't wrong. I enjoy the cleans and I don't think there is anything wrong with them. It added some melodic dynamics to their songs. Still, I was they didn't sacrifice some of their really sick technical flair in favor of more melody. Okubo is a sick guitarist and we've seen what he's capable in past releases but this seems more like a chug-fest than anything else. I'll give these guys a break since its their first album with the new vocalist. I'm sure they'll come around in a couple years with a better album.
